Philosophical razors are principles or rules of thumb that allow you to eliminate unlikely explanations for a phenomenon or avoid unnecessary actions.

As usual, I scoured the internet to find as many razors as possible. This post outlines 25 worth knowing.

Bonus — Elon’s Razor: the most entertaining outcome is the most likely (Elon’s variant on Occam’s Razor). Elon has described it over the years in various ways:
