2. Video I’m Watching
📺 Viktor Frankl: Why Self-Actualization is Nonsense
(12 mins | YouTube)
This title is a bit misleading, but the video is worth watching. Viktor Frankl is the author of the well-known book Man’s Search for Meaning. His interview style seems to be just as compelling as his writing style.
Pair with these posts:
- 🔒 How to Find Meaning in Life with “Man’s Search for Meaning” by Viktor Frankl (+ 2 Infographics)
- A Deep & Detailed Summary of “Man’s Search for Meaning” by Viktor Frankl (Book Summary)
- 10 Purposeful Themes & 25 Top Quotes from “Man’s Search for Meaning” by Viktor Frankl
“Self-actualization can only fall into your lap automatically once you have fulfilled a concrete meaning … Then, you actualize yourself as a byproduct.” — Viktor Frankl
3. Speech I’m Enjoying
🎧 The Enneagram: Nonduality and the Vulnerable Heart
(20 mins | YouTube)
This is a great, short introduction to the Enneagram. Russ Hudson has been studying and teaching this topic for 30+ years. And, he’s the co-author of the best-selling book The Wisdom of the Enneagram: The Complete Guide to Psychological and Spiritual Growth for the Nine Personality Types (summary here). In this video, Russ covers key principles, what the symbol means, and more.
When I completed the Enneagram, I was stuck between three types (mostly 5 & 3 with a dash of 1). How about you?
“The closer you get to living truth, the more reality presents itself as paradox. Our ego mind wants to have it this way or that way, and it’s kind of both.” — Russ Hudson
4. Article I’m Reading
📖 How to Read Self-Help
(9 mins | TJCX)
A much-needed, well-balanced look at the self-help category. This article covers which types of self-help are worth reading and how to get the most from them. Personally, I mostly go for the books that have stood the test of time. Here’s my reading list and book recommendations.
“The whole thing with wisdom is that you can’t prescribe a one-size-fits-all method of application. Good wisdom applies to so many different situations, in so many ways, that going through every possibility would take millennia.” — TJCX
5. Quote I’m Contemplating
“Love says ‘I am everything.’
Wisdom says ‘I am nothing.’
Between the two, my life flows.”
— Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

“A reminder of what it takes to be happy. The Hierarchy of Happiness is a great visual aid but make some time to read the whole piece. A lot of thought has gone into this … The infographic alone is a powerful reminder of what matters.” — Carl P, Sloww Reader
